But listed below are a selection of some of the best of "Conquer The Universe With Astrology" that are as fresh as today's delivery of melons. Sweet, delicious, educational, informative, funny, astrological melons. If you haven't had a listen before... pick something below and give it a try. The Daily Sky: Mars In Gemini Runs With Scissors

All of a sudden... he realized that everything seemed fresh and new.

A world of possibilities had suddenly opened. No longer did the plodding, deliberative energy of Mars in Taurus rule the drives. There was a world to be confronted! A life to be lived! Challenges to be overcome! All the old obstacles could be overcome by an incoming wave of promise and optimism and good cheer.

He stretched his arms out towards the sky, and joyfully shouted "Look out world, here I come! Woo hoo!"

No one could talk him out of it. Not common sense, not fear of the unknown, and above all... certainly not his astrologer, off in the distance, shouting "Look out! That Mars is square Neptune, and it may be affecting your judgment!"

He ignored the barely-heard warning and began to run... run as he never had before... his arms outstretched and waving to everyone he passed, as the sunlight turned into glimmering Beacons Of Hope as they bounced off the freshly-sharpened blades of his favorite scissors.

Why Consult An Astrologer?

I've noticed recently that there's a lot of astrology out there on the Internet, and a lot of astrologers... but surprisingly little about what an astrologer can do for you. I'd like to help correct that.

First of all, here's something about why I am an astrologer -- but the short version is this: I was a counselor. I wanted to help people, and astrology cut through the nonsense and got to the answers and to the results faster than anything I learned in college.

You can come to an astrologer out of either general curiosity, or specific needs. Curiosity is great -- it is the best way to uncover issues and options you didn't even know you had. Part of success in life is taking the right action... but another part is asking the right questions. Another component is self-knowledge, and few things in life can help with that better than an outside perspective.

Caring help, facing down and de-constructing obstacles, and self-knowledge... great. But about what, specifically? In short: pretty much anything.

Many of us face dissatisfaction with material life. Am I on the right career path? Where do I even find a career path? How can I increase business opportunities? Where do I look for a job? How do I get my expenses under control? When is a good time to start my own business? When is a good time to leave my job? Yes, I can help you with those questions.

Then there are the connections we form with others. Why do I feel isolated? Why is my partner being the way he/she has been lately? Why don't I have a love life at all? How can I handle these concerns about my family? And so on. I can help you with those issues too. In fact, I've got a Two Astrologer Special going on about that right now...

So: Love and material security. Pretty good so far, dontcha think? And that's without mentioning any of the other things an astrologer like myself can help you with, like:

What can I do to be healthier? What is my spiritual path through life? What's going on with my pets? When's a good time to get a makeover? Where can I find the right social circle? What's going on with my sexuality? Should I go back to school, and when, and how? Is there something I'm supposed to be doing with my life that I'm not?

Like I said before: I can help you with pretty much anything. Drop me a line and find out more.

When You Wish Upon A Partial Lunar Eclipse

Let's not panic now, shall we? Let's take a breath, calm down... and maybe even celebrate a little.

As I am writing this the Moon is approach the exact point where the lunar eclipse will happen... 4 degrees Sagittarius, with the Sun opposite that, and Neptune squaring them both from 5 degrees Pisces.

"Oh! A square you say? That sounds awful!"

Well... not really. Neptune may be the bringer of dreaminess and delusion, sure... but have you looked around at the world lately? Have you looked at your own life? Maybe a little more dreaminess is required. Maybe a little more Faith. Maybe a little more Hope.

I myself remain optimistic, about today and the future in general. And if sometimes things get confusing, or seem dark, or maybe you need a guide to lead you out of the woods of your love life (or lack thereof)... fear not. As Martin Luther King Jr said: "I have not lost faith. I'm not in despair, because I know that there is a moral order. I haven't lost faith, because the arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice."

So find those points in your chart where the eclipse is happening, and know that the unexpected can happen... it always does, eventually... and sometimes the unexpected can be very, very good. Look at those parts of your life that need changing, and know that with a little luck, a little support, and some hard work, things can be okay. Then they can be better than okay.

The Daily Sky: Lunar Eclipse in Gemini/Sagittarius

The Universe is watching.

And here you thought all along you were a lone wolf, an independent agent, the master of Free Will. Little did you know that the Universe, teeming and pulsing all around you, has A Plan.

Sure, you  know all about "karma" and you've done your best to be nice to children and small animals and not under-tip and cover your sneeze and not kill anyone. Sure. You've got all that in the bank, karma-wise. Even so -- you never know when The Universe is going to throw a bong out a window at you, resulting in a little non-voluntary time in a facility for someone who has gotten away with too much for too long.

It may not happen today. It may not happen tomorrow. But the groundwork has been set, and 4 degrees Gemini and Sagittarius point to where in your chart it will be unleashed.

Now, that may mean you're going to need guidance with your love life, whatever shape it may be in. You might win the lottery... or lose your shirt. So brace yourself. Expect the unexpected. Somewhere, something has started ticking. Who knows? It could be an antique clock given as a surprise gift, wrapped in a big bow... and maybe it's a simple kitchen timer, wired to a few sticks of dynamite.

Either way, The Universe is watching. Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock...

Ninety years without slumbering,
Tick tock, tick tock.
Ninety years numbering,
Tick tock, tick tock.
But it stopped, short, never to run again
When the old man died.

Astrology And The Quest For True Love

Much of human existence seems to be based on the ancient drive to find and/or keep a mate. Modern living doesn't really make it that much easier to fulfill that quest, though: The Internet has increased your options, but that doesn't make it quicker to find your Prince/Princess Charming. There IS someone for everyone... but sometimes having a bigger river to pan for gold in doesn't always get you the nugget you're seeking.

Sometimes we find someone to be in a relationship with, and everything is fantastic... for a while. Even the best relationships can hit a rough spot, and sometimes it turns out the person we love isn't really who or what we thought. It's easy to think "Was I wrong about you then, or am I wrong about you now?"

Then of course, for many there's always the question of "why am I alone, when so-and-so is a total doofus and gets all kinds of Love?"

Whichever situation you're facing: there is help.

Aliza of Moonplutoastrology.com and I are pleased to offer you a special consultation package designed to make your love life better and happier, and for a special price... because we happen to think Love is great, and we'd like to see you all have as much of it as possible. We call it our "Summer Lovin' Special," and you can read all about it right HERE.

Take a minute to read it over and think about it. You just may have the world to gain from it. Well, okay... you may have Love to gain from it, and if you have that, the rest of your world may well seem to take care of itself.

Write today for details!

Let An Astrologer Be Your Bounty Hunter D'Amour!

The Moon is in Libra as I write this. Maybe that's why "relationships" are on my mind. Many of you don't need a lunar excuse to be pondering the state of your love life, no matter what shape it may be in. Sure... you could put up with the current circumstances of your love life. You could carry on wondering what the real story is, or if there's a story at all, or even why there's nothing happening. But you know... you don't have to go on in the dark with it.

An Astrologer can help you:

Catch that Aries! Get that Taurus back in your pasture! Handle both sides of that Gemini at once! Get into that Cancer's shell! Tame that Leo! Prove your data to Virgo! Get that Scorpio back in his jar! Rope and ride that Sagittarius! Get that Capricorn back on YOUR mountain top! Convince that Aquarius to land on your planet! Toss a net on that Pisces!

Okay, I know, I'm being over-dramatic here. But hey... what's Love without a little drama? Besides: if your love life is confusion or puzzling or dissatisfying or just flat-out lame... even if it's good and you just want to make it better... a reading from an astrologer can help.

And what's even better than an astrologer providing guidance for you and your love life? TWO astrologers! Aliza from Moonplutoastrology.com and I have joined forces to present The Summer Lovin' Astrology Special: Seeing Love From Both Sides... two viewpoints, two readings, one great price... and a whole lot of understanding and solutions for you. The Summer Lovin' Astrology Special!

I really like Aliza from Moonplutoastrology.com. She's got Cancer Sun caring and Moon Pluto x-ray vision. Her style is like a comforting bowl of chicken soup... with a matzah ball of practical wisdom. She also reads Tarot!

Me? I like to get a birth chart and break it down like a mechanic, find out where that clunking noise is coming from, and get you back on the road... so to speak. Sure, I have a spiritual approach to life, but at heart I guess I just like fixing things.

Aliza and I have our own very different approaches, but ultimately we seem to be looking at the same picture, even if we describe it differently. And, let's be honest here: if you can't see a relationship from more than just one side... you aren't really seeing the relationship.

That's why Aliza and I have decided to pool our resources on a special, limited-time offer that we like to call

THE SUMMER LOVIN' SPECIAL: Seeing Love From Both Sides

You get two readings about your love life from two different perspectives for one great price!

-If you are in a relationship and it's going well

Why not make it a little better? We'll give you tips and timing based on your birth chart (and your partner's chart) to maximize romantic potential, how and when to avoid the rough spots, and how you can make a good thing even better!

-If you're in a relationship and it's NOT going so well

Maybe you need an outside perspective... or two. What attracts people can often go astray, or other factors can interfere with a situation that once worked more smoothly. Can it be fixed? What should I be doing? What can I learn from this? We'll give you answers!

-If you're not even sure it's a "relationship" at all

Few things in life can cause more confusion than really, honestly not knowing what the hell is going on in the head and/or heart of someone you care about. Let's all have a look together and see if we can make sense of it together.

-If you don't have a relationship but want one

Well then... step right up! We'll tell you how to maximize your appeal, how and why to improve your chances (and the quality of the candidates!), and give you your best timing to make something happen... or to let something find you.

Two thirty-minute consultations from two astrologers, by phone or e-mail, for just $90!

The Daily Sky: Sun In Gemini, Uranus Square Pluto Exact

(SCENE: The waiting room of a therapist's office. There is a row of five chairs, and at one end sits URANUS and the other sits PLUTO. They each have their arms crossed, and are eying each other suspiciously. The door to the therapist's office opens and THE SUN sticks his head out.)

SUN: Oh, hello! Nice to see you! How's everyone doing today?

URANUS: Unreasonably constricted, thank you very much.

PLUTO: Do you have to do everything for shock value, or make everything a joke? (To SUN) This guy is just here to screw with things. I can't work with someone who isn't serious.

URANUS: You're serious enough for a whole Solar System.

PLUTO: You need that. You're undisciplined.

URANUS: Oh, now you sound just like Saturn.

PLUTO: Don't bring up your old conjunctions with me! (To SUN) You see? You see that? That was a deliberate jab --

URANUS: To let you know that not everything can go according to YOUR plan!

PLUTO: (Standing up) I could completely destroy you!

URANUS: (Also standing, rolling up sleeves and making fists) The only thing you've ever destroyed is "a good time"!

SUN: (Standing between the other two to intervene) Hey, hey... planets, please. I understand you have your differences, and I know you aren't really aspecting each other that well right now... but the noise of you two fighting! It's caused all kinds of insanity! No one trusts each other, everyone is broke, all the wrong people have either got it good or got it bad... it's a mess. A real mess, folks. (pause) And you two need to talk to each other and to listen to each other before something breaks.

(URANUS AND PLUTO pause to consider this. They both sit down, one more chair closer to each other than before. They still seem suspicious but are appear willing to play along)

SUN: See? Aren't things a little better already?

PLUTO: (Quietly) Okay. So, we have our issues. But maybe talking to a therapist will help.

URANUS: (to SUN) And I admit you're doing better than I expected, so far. Where did you get your degree?

SUN: Degree? (pause) Oh. (nervous chuckle) I'm not the therapist. Umm... (clearly uncomfortable) Dr. Yablonski died of a heart attack when the bank foreclosed on his underwater home the same week he got his first medical bill for his heart... turns out it was a "pre-existing condition" and wasn't covered. Also, he argued with his Facebook friends a lot without realizing he was losing his real-world connections. And he neglected reaching out to his loved ones, and he wasn't really hearing their concerns either. And he was working himself to death paying off his debts. And frankly all the stress was making him eat terribly. (pause) This was his last week before the layoff, anyway.

(URANUS and PLUTO look at each other with a little bit of guilt)

SUN: I'm no therapist... I just entered Gemini and I realize the value of talking things out. (turns to leave) Now, you two play nice, okay...?

The Daily Sky: Venus Sextile Uranus

Make a tinfoil sculpture. Donate your change to a cause you've never heard of. Write a love letter on a postcard and mail it to someone you've never met. Write a love letter on a postcard and mail it to yourself. Offer to knit a sweater for the neighbor's dog. Re-arrange the furniture. Put some bean sprouts in your peanut butter sandwich. Meditate in a sports bar.

Do something different. Make it fun. Make it kind. Mostly, just do something different.

The Daily Sky: Venus Square Neptune

MALE PIGEON: I don't care how wrong our forbidden our love is! For I am The Mighty Eagle, and I take what I want!

FEMALE PIGEON: Take me! For I am The Swan Of Your Dreams!

MALE PIGEON: I'm going to make passionate love to you ALL NIGHT LONG! (MALE PIGEON hops on top of FEMALE PIGEON and begins thrusting) And our children will grow up to be dragons! Dragons who are doctors and lawyers! (He finishes and hops back to the ground)

(There is an awkward pause as the two pigeons contemplate each other -- and realize that they are just pigeons after all. And not very exceptional ones at that.)

FEMALE PIGEON: That was, um... nice.

MALE PIGEON: Yeah, hey... Uh, I gotta go. See you around.

FEMALE PIGEON: Yeah, sure, you bet.

Astrological Weather Alert For Those Born 1965-1968

Between now and about the 25th of this month, Jupiter will be passing from 19 to 24 degree Gemini. Although the individual effects of this transit will vary based on the details of your birth chart, those of you born between 1965 and 1968 will feel the effects in a way very specific to your age group: namely, Jupiter will be square your natal Uranus and Pluto.

Transiting Jupiter square your Uranus can bring unexpected shifts in your "luck"... whether for good or bad, it's usually unexpected and can be a little disruptive. One way or another, a change is probably called for. Feel free to break loose from the things that are trying to break you!

Transiting Jupiter square your Pluto can bring a strong sense of personal power -- strong enough to overcome the resistance you are likely to face. De-constructing and re-constructing some of the major factors in your life can be useful and profitable... and sometimes, it's just flat-out mandatory.

The individual effects will be dependent on the house placement of your Uranus-Pluto conjunction and what Houses of your chart they rule. Even without that information, though: consider how the above could manifest itself in your life in the next couple of weeks. If the results are unpleasant or off-kilter... fear not. It will pass. Want further details, or maybe a reading? CLICK HERE to contact me, and get a free e-book!

Your ideas are fresh and inventive today, and innovative thinking abounds.

Now could you just please sit down, shut up and actually DO something with it before we have to revoke your caffeine privileges COMPLETELY? Jeez, dude... seriously. Focus a little, will ya?

Shooting The Rapids With A Guide: The Relationship Diagnostic

If you've ever had a relationship that started well, flourished, then died... or even if you've just seen one that went that way... you know that "compatibility" is a much more complex matter than simply "are we compatible"? I sometimes wonder if astrology isn't occasionally doing a disservice to the rich complexity of interpersonal relations by focusing on "compatibility." After all, lots of people who are compatible enough to get married are later incompatible enough to get divorced, right?

***

"The sex is great, so why can't we communicate outside of the bedroom?" (His Mars in Capricorn is sextile your Venus, but square your Mercury. Mars in Capricorn does good work, but sometimes needs direction)

"She used to do thoughtful little things, but now all she does is nag." (Her Moon in Virgo is thoughtful, but doesn't forget little affronts easily)

"He was so affectionate at first... why has he become distant and withdrawn?" (his Jupiter still works well with your chart... but now Saturn is squaring that, making him doubtful about things)

***

Heraclitus said "you can't set foot in the same river twice, for fresh waters are ever flowing in upon you." On the one hand this is obviously true, and on the other... it really IS the same river, with the same bends and rapids. Humans, and the relationships between them, are like that. That's why, when attempting to shoot the white-water rapids of another person's feelings, it's a good thing to have a guide along.

My Relationship Diagnostic can give you the goods on who you both were, and are, and could be. The river has twists and turns, and sometimes you need a navigator who can see the whole picture -- not just where you are right now. Write me for details!

The Daily Sky: I'm Coming To Get You, Rose Tyler

Moon in Aries today, with Mars trine Pluto:

(SCENE: The Doctor is completely surrounded by hordes of his greatest enemy, the evil extraterrestrial conquerors known as The Daleks. The Daleks has captured The Doctor's companion, Rose Tyler. The enemy is heavily armed and well-provisioned, whereas our hero apparently has nothing.  This does not appear to deter The Doctor at all.)

Dalek: The Dalek strategem nears completion. The fleet is almost ready. You will not intervene.

The Doctor: Oh really? Why's that, then?

Dalek: We have your associate. You will obey or she will be exterminated.

The Doctor: No.

Dalek: Explain yourself.

The Doctor: I said, "No."

Dalek: What is the meaning of this negative?

The Doctor: It means, "No."

Dalek: But she will be destroyed!

The Doctor: No! 'Cause this is what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna rescue her. I'm gonna save Rose Tyler from the middle of the Dalek fleet, and then I'm gonna save the Earth. And then—just to finish off—I'm gonna wipe every last stinking Dalek out of the sky!

Dalek: But you have no weapons, no defenses, no plan!

The Doctor: Yeah! And doesn't that scare you to death? Rose?

Rose: Yes, Doctor?

The Doctor: I'm coming to get you.

Eclipse Preparation Lessons, Part One: Understand Your Resources

(The following is an excerpt from the Astrological Civil Defense Council/Reaction Undertaking Liaison-Education Service (ACDC/RULES) pamphlet on the upcoming eclipses May 9th and May 25th. Forewarned is forearmed!)

***

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this going to hurt?
On one level or another, almost certainly. But hey, that's life, right? The best we can hope for is to prepare, strengthen our resolve, and remind ourselves that we've been through painful things before and are now better people for it.

But, I'm NOT a better person because of my suffering. Suffering sucks!
Okay, sure, it sucks. But really, it's what we do with the cards we are dealt the things that make us who we are.

Is there anywhere I can hide from these eclipses?
No. But at least now you're asking "what can I do?" instead of "what will happen," which is a start.

Gotcha. So: what can I do?
Glad you asked! Read on...

Examine Your Foundations For Cracks And Structural Flaws

The May 9th New Moon eclipse features The Sun and Moon conjunct at 19 degrees Taurus.

1) Locate the House that falls into in your birth chart. This is an area of your life that is likely to see some shaking and surprises between now and the next eclipse.

2) Find the planets and placements in your chart (if any) that are closely aspected by 19 degrees Taurus. The things these planets/placements rule are most likely to be affected by the eclipse. If the aspect is a nice frindly trine or sextile, don't automatically assume it will all be good news, and if we're talking about squares and oppositions, don't assume it's going to be ugly.

Gather Supplies And Prepare For Possible Temporary Shortages

Because this is an eclipse in Taurus, there is some chance that there will also be an economic/work-related effect. Also, no harm in making sure your health habits are running properly... Taurus has a reputation for wanting to break its diet, and few things provide better comfort in times of trouble better than a couple of extra cupcakes.

Check For Leaks In The Basement

Neptune isn't that big a player in this eclipse... but it plays a more prominent role in the eclipse on the 25th.

Now that you've done all that, you should have at least some idea as to how the May 9th eclipse will affect you and the people around you.
